For those of you lucky enough to be at the New York Comic Con yesterday you would have seen a preview of the new Fantastic Four game which is officially titled Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The game, which will be released on June 2007, is currently being developed by 2K Games's Visual Concepts Studio and Seven Studios and will feature the Fantastic Four team along with the Silver Surfer and, of course, Doctor Doom which will all be tossed together amidst the background of Earth being in dire peril..in other words, good clean fun. That was yesterday, however, and that has gone by. On Sunday, from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM, there will be a panel to discuss The Darkness which is being developed by Starbreeze Studios. It also based off a comic series written with Paul Jenkins that features as it's main character and anti hero Jackie Estacado, a young Mafia hitman, who obtains a power called The Darkness when it is unlocked on his 21st birthday. The panel will feature footage from the game along with a discussion panel featuring the producer Anthony DeLuca, President of Top Cow Matt Hawkins and Marc Silvestri who worked with Jenkins to create The Darkness comic. The game will come onto the market at Spring of this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
