Eastern Influence

This is especially evident in the inspirational shift toward Asian cinema and Hong Kong action movies – primarily due to their balletic interpretation of gunfights and hand-to-hand combat sequences. Anyone with even a passing interest in the movies of John Woo would easily spot the stylistic influence of his work (i.e. The Killer or Hard Boiled) upon games such as Max Payne and Dead to Rights.
