Electronic Arts, the company that brings you chances to score amazing touchdowns, drive at insanely high speeds, and also to blow stuff up in the most dazzling way is going to further excite our lives by giving us their latest racing release Need For Speed:Carbon this year. In order to commemorate this newest chapter in the popular Need For Speed franchise EA Trax has put together a soundtrack featuring 30 artists whose songs parallel the three cars classes:exotics, muscle cars, and tuners. For instance the muscle cars will be represented by the bands Kyuss and Metro Riots, The Presets and Goldfrapp for the tuner cars, and Lady Sovereign, Roots Manua, and Spank Rock for the exotics. The Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA, Steve Schnur, stated that the game will take a “cinematic approach” to the racing world and that the company has spent a year on the musical selections so that it will bring the Need For Speed series to what he termed an “unstoppable new level.” The game will be released on November 1st of this year for the all the Next Gen consoles, the PS2, X-Box, and Gamecube and all the portable game system GBA, PSP, and Nintendo's DS.
