Though it’s only been out roughly a week, [i]Fable[/i] has managed to obliterate sales records at retail establishments across the United States. The game has grossed roughly $18.7 million and sold over 375,000 units, and again, that’s just during its first week of release. [i]Fable[/i] is currently the fastest selling game across platforms at GameStop, as well as being the fastest selling Xbox game EB Games Canada.
“Fable was the best first-week title on Xbox that we’ve ever had” says Jim Tyo, vice president of EB Games Canada. “The game has exceeded our expectations, and we’re confident that this strong sales trend will continue.”
Dan DeMatteo, CEO and president of GameStop, said that “Fable has been a huge hit for us, and it was our number one-selling title across all platforms over the last week.”
