Japanese Wii U owners now have something to applaud (besides the upcoming Pikmin 3). Square Enix has made Final Fantasy VI and Secret of Mana available on the Wii U Virtual Console. Downloaders should expect Miiverse support, off-TV play, save states, and control customization.
Unfortunately, there is no word yet if these titles will make the swim overseas to the US market. In the meantime, I guess we will have to settle for the regular Wii Virtual Console versions of FFVI and SoM.
