    Types of gamers

I use to be hardcore back when I was a teenager. That's all I did. Play video games and go to school. Eventually, age catches up and so does bills. Work and life kicks you in the ass and I have now become a casual gamer.

Is it worth upgrading from PS3 to PS4?

Im sticking to the PS3 for as long as I possibly can. There are so many games that are fun to play and I haven't gotten around to playing just yet. So why move on when there is still some things left to be done and explore.

What game stands the test of time?

That's good one. I think and game that is based on the same engine, is cool. Age of Empires, Age of mythology. Maybe not the name it self, but the game play is timeless in itself.

    Any Tony Hawk fans here?

Nah, I was more of a Christian Hosoi fan growing up. Too bad he got into drugs. He would of been up there with Hawk and company.

Do you think the next Nintendo system will keep the "Wii" name?

I'm late for the party but it has been announced by Nintendo that their next console will be called Nintendo NX. Not much is known about the console. No details released but we are waiting.

    Did you ever play...

I played Commodore 64 and Atari 2600. I never got the chance to play the Intellivision. I thought the Commodore 64 games were more in depth then the Atari 2600. We all know that game developers made crap games with 2600 which was one of the reasons why home systems crashed in the early 80s.

    Most Annoying Video Game Character

There was no point of having a dog that laughed at you when you missed the duck. I guess they added him to make it somewhat entertaining. They game was pretty much crap, but they added the dog for the hell of it.

    Consoles or Emulators?

I've tried emulators before. The only reason why I did that is because I could not find my old copy of Buck Rogers on the Sega Genesis. It felt awkward at first because I was use to the old school controler. But there is something to say about the nostalgia of old school consoles. The hard...

Did you play in a computer lab?

Hell Yeah!!!! Oregon Trail was the bomb back then. I use to play that thing all the time. It was wether that or commanding the turtle to do rudimentary movements on the screen. Oh and there was also Karataka.

Do you remember you first ever computer console or system?

My first computer system was back in 2000. I think it was a Gateway AMD athlon CPU with 256mb of RAM. Back then it was a beast!!! Eventually I added extra RAM, 512mb of RAM. I grew out of that computer in a few years as soon as the games required more resources and DDR RAM was the next big...

    Contractual agreement...

Very tricky to say the least. Which game would I play for the rest of my life? It has to be a really hard game that is basically unpassable, or at least the outcome has to change depending on your choices during the game. It probably has to be one of the Final Fantasy games. Epic RPG that...

    NES games = best ever.

I thought that Battle Toads and Shadow Gate were the best games of the NES. Sure there are other great titles, but those 2 stood out for me. Lots of publishers for the NES, so there was diversity in the games. Sega had no chance at the time due to limited 3rd party support.

    Your favorite generation of consoles?

I think the 8 bit wars was the era that defined the video game movement. We were all exposed to the lame graphics and crappy game play that plagued the atari 2600. Game makers didn't put much effort into the games and industry went belly up. Enter the NES and eventually the Sega Master...

Rate the Gamecube on a 1-10 scale

I agree with your post. I had a lot of fun with the gamecube. I have great memories with the star wars games that was released on the gamecube. It's just too bad there were 2 other big hitter out there that competed directly with the gamecube.

Which is your favourite "old school" rpg?

20 years ago the RPGs that I liked the most were Phantasy Star and Shining in the Darkness. Both were on the Sega Genesis. I was a big Sega Fan and never owned a NES or SNES. Hence the reason for never playing Final Fantasy. But yeah, I loved both games. Phantasy Star was the first RPG that...

Why are comic book games so bad?

I agree. There is no originality when it comes to most recent adaptations. It's just the companies involved are trying to cash in on the recent popularity of the movies. Big fans of the movies will buy anything, but hardcore players won't appreciate the crap design.

    What's in your gaming collection?

So throughout the years I have collected massive amounts of games and consoles. 30 years worth of gaming history. I once had the Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Genesis, Sega Cd, Saturn, Dreamcast, XBOX, and PS3. I can't possibly count how many games I had collectively. They were all...
