I've spent several times without a screen for 24 hours. At those times I was either incredibly busy doing paperwork stuff at work or incredibly bored at home so I did extra cooking or slept a lot. Also, if I'm sick I can't really look at screens, so I try to occupy my time with analogue things...

It depends, if a game looks really good and is from a company I know that makes good games, I'll buy it. I don't do freemium games though. I can wait a few weeks to save up.

Even though it's repetitive, I'm a long time Pokemon fan. Though I do wish that one day they'll mix it up and do something different to the main storyline, it's that basic formula that got me into the games. So I'll keep enjoying them for now.

You could look for used ones at Gamestop/your nearest video game store or maybe online sites like Craigslist. Used are cheapest. Also, an older 3DS would be cheaper than the New 3DS.

I try to sleep, because I don't get much at night. Otherwise I try to look for things that will stop me from being bored once I have a large gap of free time at a later date. Like games, books, or maybe just random Googling.
