ah ok, I was thinking you were referring to the age of the game. Yeah, Dragon Age is definitely traditional fantasy RPG. I think back in the 90s, most RPGs were really tolkien or D&D based games, but nowadays there is more steam-punk and zombie/apocolpyse style stuff coming out.

They are never coming back, it is just too expensive to make them, and too expensive to play them compared to consoles or hand-helds. It is just too easy to get free games on your phone.

Heroes of the Storm has a lot going for it, I am in the Alpha also and I think it is going to take a lot of casual people away from LOL. It isn´t nearly as hardcore, with shorter games, and also there are more cooperative and single player aspects to it. Alot of people will like to play this...

Probably the Witcher is up there. There aren´t really a long list of games in 2015.. some of the ones I am watching are borderline, but will probably be 2016, like the Forest and Star Citizen.

Sometimes it is funny reading these types of threads because when you consider classic games, many people would consider new games. Dragon Age for example. For me, it would be Bard´s Tale, Ultima 3-4, Might and Magic 3-4, and Neverwinter Nights ( mainly for the ability to make content).

The Forest is probably the only game I am really looking forward to at this point. I am not a huge fan of early access or paying to play an alpha of a game, so I am avoiding buying it now and will wait until it goes live and is finished.

WOW and Dungeons and Dragons Online. My favorite all time was Ultima Online, but they changed it too much with the AoS expansion, and it can never go back.

When the games you want to play are no longer available on the console you own, that is a good time to upgrade. Too many good games still available on the PS3 with no reason to upgrade except OCD.

RAM will be one of the last bottlenecks on our system, and 8MB is plenty. Your CPU and video card are going to slow you down way before not having 12 or 16MBs would.

Yeah, CS has always felt the most realistic. COD and some of the other games are great to play and a lot of fun, but a lot of the immersion is removed in order to make gameplay better. CS feels a bit different in that regard.

As much as we gamers like to say´no way´.. the facts are out there that a lot of these young people doing some of this crazy stuff were influenced by games. There was one case where a guy wrote a letter, and quoted a villan from a video game.

Yep, developers are learning that marketing and ´I need this fast´ means they can release unfinished or half-done games and have a DLC already in the works before the game goes live. As long as people keep pre-ordering and buying pre-release versions of games, it is only going to get worse.

I had a commdore 128.. I think the first game I played was Zork or 9 princes in amber. On consoles, I had one of the original Pong games you played on your TV, probably 1980ish.

nah, I would prefer some 12 year old playing LOL or CoD and talking trash rather then some 30 year old who´s only major accomlishments in life are some CoD acheivements. Games are for kids, as adults, we should appreciate that.

I used to trash talk with my guild, but then you start to realize how silly it is to be proud of accomplishments in a video game. Like who really cares if my dps is 3% higher than his, or I have more mounts and pets.. It just sounds stupid after awhile.

For me it is jus Star Citizen and maybe The Forest. The great thing is I have a backlog of games to play, plus I am spending a lot of time making my own game.
