    Favorite video game music?

There are a lot of games with great soundtracks out there like the Skyrim and the CIv series. The oldest one that I can remember and stick to me the most would probably be Top Gear and Heroes of Might and Magic 3

    Too old to play games?

What's amazing to me is that it's been proven that older people improve their mental faculties significantly just by playing computer games. Handheld games were predominantly the most tested but I think it applies to all games. There was a granny in the news not too long ago; she was in her 90s...

Could you go 24 hours without a screen?

Sure. I work with screens all day, and I wouldn't mind being away from them for a entire day and go off on a short overnight vacation to some secluded cabin with nothing but nature all around.

    Mac for gaming

No, I understand where you're coming from and I think getting a PC is the right choice for you. If you want even more bang for your buck, don't buy pre-made PCs and assemble your own. If you need help search around in the forums or go here: reddit.com/r/buildapc

    Mac for gaming

Most Macs run games fine. If you've got a taste for more high end and demanding games then I suggest going for a decent PC. If you're a casual gamer you could totally get by with a Mac.

    Adventure Time MOBA

Oh man, a MOBA for Adventure Time is just about the best idea ever! Considering this was released mid 2014 I'm wondering why I wasn't aware of this before. brb going to create an account right now...

    Games to look out for?

GTA 5 on PC is the only thing I'm looking forward to next month. Everything is second place to that. With that said, I hope they don't muck up the transition by giving us a poor port instead of a fleshed out PC game.

    League of legends?

Never played LOL before, I always stuck with dota 2. Not because I find one game superior to the other mind you, its just that my circle of friends play dota 2 more than they do LOL.

Older gamers? Remember when Pong came out?

I remember playing the original Pong, but by that time it was already pretty old. The oldest game I've ever played I think was Alien Invaders or that Galacta something...

    Looking for an upgrade

Good advice from the posters above. You will need a new mobo. Pick out something that is capable of triple channeling your RAM. Increase RAM to 12 gb (it's not that expensive). 12/3=4 so that's 4gb per channel. Also I recommend buying at least an i5 3rd-4th gen. or maybe i7, but i5 is enough I...

    GTA 5!!!

I think most 3 - 4 year old rigs can run it just fine, but you won't be able to play with maximum settings. Just keep your draw distance in check and watch out for when you're flying. It may freeze up when you're at high altitudes because of the rendering.

    Cell Phones

Well that's because Android phones cater to a wide range of price brackets. Your wife might have bought a mid-range phone with limited capabilities. High end Android phones outperform the iPhone in functionality and versatility and are very much geared toward power users and the tech-savvy.

What is your favorite game from the GTA series?

I love Vice City too. I don't know why. The map is small and you don't get the options that you see later in the series like working out or get to ride harriers, etc. The radio stations are probably the best in the entire franchise. I also like the protagonist. He seems relatable.

    GTA 5!!!

Personally, I'm just glad that it got the go ahead for the pc version. I was very adamant about not playing the game until it had a pc port but this is much better. What I'm most looking forward to are the mods. From what I gathered, the GTA 5 map is huge unlike that cramped cityscape we got in IV.

    Have Games taught you anything?

Yes, apart from teaching me how to procrastinate in the most enjoyable way possible, some games have taught me the value planning ahead and planning things out thoroughly beforehand. Games with complicated structures and rules often promote critical thinking and parallel reasoning.

Parents: Do you follow the rating labels when buying a game for kids?

I follow my own judgement but I certainly take the ratings into account seriously. You can only play several games at a time in your life and I would like my kids to start off with games that don't take away their innocence, make them jaded, or subject them to adult situations and interests...

How often do you upgrade your system?

I upgrade my entire rig about every 5 years or so. I've only done it twice. It may seem like a long time but that's because I futureproof my rig when I'm upgrading. This means buying components which have a lot of power and a lot of compatibility so that it still performs well with games that...

    Best/Worst Video Game Movie Adaptations?

I don't know about the new Resident Evil movies, they seem very forced, and I was also a fan of the whole game series. I suppose I could have forgiven the first and second movies but they just keep churning them out and they've dramatically dropped in quality; well whatever quality the first two...

    Project Cars

A dedicated wheel accessory costs a LOT of money, but I wouldn't want to play this game in any other way. I've always wanted to try out vehicle simulators like that trucker sim that came out a few years ago. I think I could do it with this one. I know it's a racing game, which in my opinion...

Would you play games that were designed to help you mentally?

Not only will I play these games because I like the challenge and want to improve my intellect as well, these will be the kinds of games that I will introduce to my kids first. I will attempt to make the smartest kids in the world you'll see. My daughters don't like computer games very much but...
