Halo MCC - 3 months later, still broken

Check it out now. There has recently been a major patch, which for me at least, fixed the matchmaking issues. Now that it's working, I can say that it's the most fun I've had online in a long time. If only some of my old friends from Halo 3 would still be around...

Elder Scrolls Online ( TESO) goes B2P

I can't say I'm surprised; they made a complete mess of the game. It was very stupid of them to release a game with payment up front, followed by a subscription AND horse DLC. Although, I am very surprised that they didn't go full free to play, but I guess they need money.

    Where is everyone?

I think the remaining MMO players are now trying every new game that's coming out, hoping for a breath of fresh air. If they're not, then they're probably playing WoW or EVE Online. I don't think other MMOs are getting a good amount of fresh players like WoW and EVE are.

    Browser-Based Games

I used to play AdventureQuest Worlds a long time ago. What it basically is is a 2D WoW clone, but with unique lore that doesn't take itself too seriously. I also used to play Transformice a LOT. It's a platforming game where you and others are mice and you have to get to the cheese and in the...

    Heroes of the Storm

I have been playing on and off with a friend since we both got into the Closed Alpha in december. I think the game is a very fresh take on the MOBA formula, but that it's way too grindy for the average consumer that wants to play without spending money - the prices are insane! Ten thousand gold...

    Favorite MOBA?

During the holidays, I've gotten into the closed alpha of Heroes of the Storm, and I have to say, while I usually despise MOBAs, I absolutely love this game. It is simplified enough so that even I, a person that SUCKS at MOBAs, can win a game. I also love the fact that matches usually end in...

    Dishonored

Dishonored is definitely a well done game, and while I invested a few hours in it during its free week on Steam (last summer they had a promotion going), I didn't find the story compelling enough to buy it and to drop whatever I was playing back then. Even so, I might give it another spin in the...

    Can you gift mobile games?

It depends on the platform you are on. If you are on Android, Google Play does not support gifting, as far as I know. However, iTunes allows app gifting by email, so you could try that if you are on an iDevice. Cross-OS gifting (from Android to iOS or vice-versa) is impossible. I do not own...

Clumsy Ninja is so much fun!

I played that game for about 3 days, casually, and while the ragdoll physics were fun, it turned into an experience grind VERY fast, so I had to quit the game. Ain't no way in hell I'm gonna play a mobile game for 3 hours only to unlock the next tier of toy or something needed to unlock MORE...

Is anyone else getting tired of farming games?

To be honest, those can't really be called games. Those are distractions for either young kids or busy adults. There is no "gameplay" per se, only In-App Purchases so you can get more "premium" currency, which you can use to buy one more silo/ one more office building... It's a disgusting...

What makes a video game great and why?

For me, a video game is great if it has lots of memorable moments - either in the plot, if it's a single player game, or with friends (or strangers!), if it's a multiplayer game. Also, replayability is a fairly important factor too - it's important to be able to go back to a game after you...

    What would you do

I wouldn't be that upset, honestly. I keep most of my photos and important data online, and with Steam, I can always buy another hard drive and install games very quickly (seeing as I've got a fast Internet connection).

What was the first game you ever played?

Super Mario Bros. on an NES clone called "Rambo". I was 2 or 3 years old at the time and I remember sucking hard at it, but damn, that game pulled me into gaming, and I am grateful for it.

    Evolve Beta on Steam

I don't really like this game. Firstly, it's very poorly optimized - I can only run it at ~35 fps on LOW, when my rig can run Far Cry 4 on mid-high at 60 fps. Secondly, I just don't understand the hype surrounding it. It basically is the Tank encounter from Left 4 Dead (2), only modified a bit...

Your top PC games of all time?

My favorite PC games of all time are Team Fortress 2 and World of Warcraft. Team Fortress 2 because it's maybe the most fun FPS I've ever played, and World of Warcraft because, when I first started, it was something completely different than what I had played before. Sadly, today, I am not...

What PC game in your opinion has the best community?

Team Fortress 2 has many friendly people playing, but only if you find the right servers. There are lots of small kids that fucked your mom on the usual valve servers, but if you use the server browser instead of matchmaking, you can find fantastic people.

    Star Citizen

I did not pledge and don't think I will, for two reasons. First of all, I think the game is over-hyped and that it will not turn out as great as people think, even though I'd love if I would be proven wrong. Second of all, I am not a huge fan of space sims, so it doesn't appeal to me that much.

    Do you play Minecraft?

I still play Minecraft every now and then, but really rarely and for short periods of time. Two years ago, though, I was playing it religiously with my friends online, or even solo. I remember building ambitious castles and towers in survival mode. Now, sadly, the constant things they add make...

PC-Ports - Should we demand better?

It's not a matter of if we should demand better. It's a matter of how we demand it. Even though most of us, the ones that actually care about the difference from 30 to 60 FPS, will not buy a game in protest, there will be many fanboys that will not only buy the game, but also pre-order, giving...
