What payment model do you prefer for games?

I like it when I only have to pay once and then never have to think about anything again. I actually don't mind F2P with an ingame shop as long as its just cosmetics and stuff (like LoL), I think that model is great since it lets me play for free while all the suckers spend thousands of dollars...

The "Fake Gamer Girl" idea needs to die now, please

The only "Fake Gamer Girl" stereotype I've ever heard is that they're all male... which is certainly true, in a lot of cases. I've never heard anyone say that girls pretend to be gamers to score gamer boyfriends, that sounds a bit ridiculous. The part about streaming their boobs is true though...

    3 Reasons to Buy a 3DS

    1. You like JRPGs. Because if you do, this will become your most beloved gaming platform. Have you seen the list of JRPG games coming out for the 3DS? 2. You like the Nintendo franchise. Zelda, Star Fox, Mario games, they exist in unique shapes and forms and versions on the 3DS. 3. Super Smash...

    magic piano

I didn't mean that you shouldn't try it, just sharing my experiences. :p By all means, try it out, it's free as far as I can remember. Maybe you can figure out something I missed or maybe you still find it fun hitting notes with just your right hand for example. You can always delete it after...

Would you like to see Assassin's Creed back on Nintendo?

I wouldn't like to see AC in particular, the sequels of that game strongly fall into the "more of the same" camp for me. But I'd like to see games that really push the Wii controller, it might get me to buy the console! So a AC-esque game specifically designed for the Wii platform would be amazing.

    magic piano

I downloaded it and I hate it. It's impossible to play on my android tablet because the screen is way too small to cover enough octaves to play with two hands, and even while just playing the right hand for example it was basically impossible to make the keys big enough to be able to play...

    Best MMORPG?...besides World of Warcraft?

Nothing but badmouthing the game makes you wanna play it again? Gillman, you miiiight have a slight problem. :P

    Classic Games You Hated

Mario Party on Nintendo 64. Don't get me wrong, the game is amazingly fun, but who the hell came up with having to twist the joystick on half the mini games?! The middle of my hand was a skin-less, bloody mess for years... On a more serious note, I've never "hated" a game because when I lost...

    Why the stigma surrounding gaming?

Honestly, I think the stigma is disappearing. Most of my university friends game, even the girls, and now that they've started their careers and establishing families it's not like they'll magically stop. Gaming is gradually becoming accepted by society simply because a huge percent of the...

    Games That Make You Pay

You definitely have your definitions mixed up. Paying to play just means that the game costs money (as opposed to free to play). Pay to WIN-games are games where you get further ahead the more money you spend via the ingame shop. Those games are usually free to play, but those who pay get so...

    Fun non-violent multiplayer titles?

With "violence" I mean it in the literal sense and not blood/gore type games. Every single aspect of Super Smash Brothers is violence, for example. :P But I'll look into buying a Wii, it's a bit of an investment though as I don't really care for their titles. Maybe I should just dig out my old...

    DotA 2

I've played a bit. I prefer HoN though, with how the intput delay used to be in DotA 2 and preferring the graphics I was already used to. I've played my share of support in my life, but I can't for the life of me understand why people enjoy playing that role. In a lot of games you feel...

    Arcade Games

I loved playing Street Fighter and Tekken games in the arcade! I didn't get much into the console ports, though. Also I was the best pinball player in my social circle. :D

What do you do when you are bored?

I didn't realize people got bored these days. What are your interest? I usually waste time on the internet or playing games instead of doing stuff that I enjoy, like playing the piano, reading my books, doing science/math/language/programming etc. Not to mention all the things I should be doing...

    I need a new game.

If you enjoy mobas in general I strongly recommend Heroes of Newerth. It's the original Dota-port, but it has morphed into its own game with the release of Dota 2 and all. The nature of the game lets you play an infinite amount of games where no game is the same, you get to cooperate/compete...

    GTA Cheats

Who hasn't? But I enjoyed playing the games "normally" for quite a bit first even after I finished the main storyline(s), then eventually cheated to go "over the top" when the games got stale. Flying around and having the entire city's combined police force chase you like you're a super villain...

    Achievements and trophies?

I'm pretty competitive, so when I see an achievement I'd like to get it unlocked if I feel I have the abilities to do so. I don't pay them much heed the first time I play through it though, I prefer finding them naturally until I "beat" the game and then I'll go back and see if there's a fun...

    R.I.P. Naruto :'(

The ending felt pretty natural at least, although I think the creators were honestly just bored at this point. 700 chapters? Jeez. It's kind of sad, though. With Bleach is coming to an end too, the big flagships of Manga is gone, along with the childhood of a lot of now grown up...

If you could visit one country at no cost..

I'd pick Japan as well. It has a lot of quirky subcultures I'd like to see meshed together, and besides I've always wanted to go there, so it kinda works out perfectly considering how expensive the flight ticket is from Europe and the general cost of living there. Could visit some friends from...

    Buying games

I used to play subscription games and those monthly fees add up fast. I'd much rather buy a game for $50 these days and play it whenever I want for years than to suddenly figure out I've spent $100 over the course of two years on a game I barely play.
