I purchased Five Night at Freddy's during the recent steam sale. I also have the mobile version. I am a big fan of the game although I do find that I have to limit the amount of time I play in one sitting otherwise it can become a little repetitive.

I agree with this. I think digital games should come at a discount, for the reasons you mention, and also because you can't resell them or trade them in to recoup some of your money back.

It's too bad that Quake Live has been down due to DDoS attacks. My current favorite browser-based game is Super House of Dead Ninjas. There is something incredibly satisfying about throwing the shuriken's.

I was a big fan of the Gamecube discs. I liked the fact that less surface area meant for less scratches. I also liked the way the popped into the Gamecube itself.

The three games that I played the most with friends offline are Fifa, Goldeneye 007 and Mario 64. I'd actually be kind of scared to figure out the amount of hours we have put in playing Fifa through the years starting with Fifa 95 - that's 20 years of gameplay.

I agree with you on the Gamecube controller. The Gamecube controller is still my favorite controller of all time I think. I wasn't a big fan of the n64 controller.

It is tough to pick just one as there are so many to choose from but ultimately, if I had to choose just the one console, I would choose the SNES. It not only had a ton of great games but also the childhood nostalgia factor.

You make a lot of excellent points. I think the introduction of mobile gaming has also really hurt too. There are just so many different ways to play games these days. However, I also fully agree with you that nothing can replicate playing light gun games at the arcade.
