Yeah it sucks when you get really excited for something that you have high hopes for, things so rarely live up to expectations! I prefer it the other way around to be honest, having very low expectations and being pleasantly surprised :)
I haven't played AC in a few years now but I think I do remember some of the characters being quite snippy with me. Probably a toned down version of the original then I guess. The original sounds like fun but I suppose a lot more difficult to find these days? Can you even buy Gamecubes anymore?
I've only played Animal Crossing Wild World on the DS. For people who've played all four do you notice much of a difference between the consoles, or is it more of a difference of gameplay etc.?
I forgot about Tomb Raider! Yeah, I remember being surprised by how good that movie was (although the sequel was perhaps not quite as good). Also I had no idea there was a Super Mario Bros movie, that sounds....amazingly awful. May need to find somewhere to watch that... :)
I played Sims 1-3, 3 possibly being my favourite, but I can't say Sims 4 terribly interests me. From all the stuff I've seen of it so far it actually seems like a step backwards from Sims 3, in terms of graphics, gameplay, etc.
So over the years there's been various attempts at turning games into movies (some probably more successful than others!) Which have been your favourite, and which upcoming ones are you most looking forward to?
I'm actually kinda looking forward to seeing the Warcraft movie, I think it could...
Yeah mobile games are the worst. I guess it's because you pretty much always have your phone or whatever on you wherever you go? I know that whenever I have more than, say, a minute to wait anywhere, I'm always getting my phone out and playing around with it :)
Ahh I never played in LAN, just single player. Probably not going to be able to find anyone to play it with now either, even if I do dig out my old game! Shame.
I absolutely adored the first Warcraft games! Frozen Throne was so good. It's been a pretty long time since I played it but I still half remember the storyline, it was amazing. Playing it through again sounds like a great idea tbh. I think my copy of the game is still sitting in a box somewhere...
Agree, Jeremy Soule is awesome! I have a special nostalgic place in my heart for the music he did for the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets game - I spent so much time when I was a kid playing the PC version. I even think I kinda prefer this soundtrack to the actual movie soundtrack...
I remember I used to watch my mum playing the Myst games when I was very young, like 4 or 5. Obviously a bit too small to be joining in at that point! Then when I was a bit older I got a Gameboy Colour for my birthday along with Pokemon Blue, while my brother got Pokemon Red. We used to trade...
Haha I know what you mean! I actually know that I'll get really addicted to certain games so I tend to try to avoid them in the first place. Like, I've watched friends of mine playing Minecraft and I just know that that way madness lies. So I'm gonna wait until after my uni exams in the summer...
