Hey everyone, My names Dave and soon I will hopefully be writing for mygamer.com. For my first official post in the forums I thought I'd start it off with what games that have come out this holiday season that didn't live up the hype they generated, or what games should have gotten more hype and were kind of lost in the shuffle.

I will probably get killed for this, but I think Guitar Hero 3 was little over hyped. It is basically just more of the same from Guitar Hero 2, and with Rock Band out there, Guitar Hero just feels a little bit shallow to me.

As far as games that should have received more hype I am going to say Call of Duty 4. I know it did receive a lot of hype, but in the wake of Halo 3 I think a lot of people are sleeping on it.

The problem with CoD4 is that COD suddenly went from being a prestigious WWII shooter to becoming the new Medal of Honor. Seriously, in a couple years, we've seen CoD2, CoD3, CoD4, and Big Red One.

'Tis true. But at least CoD4 changed things up a bit, WWII has been milked to death.

And as much as I love the Halo series, Halo 3 was a disappointment, and all that hype sure didn't help much...

Yea, I haved that a lot with Assasins Creed, but in spite of all that I am still interested to see what the games like whenever gamefly decides to send it to me
