Like every month, MIcrosoft is giving away four free games during the month of July 2017- two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360. The 360 games are playable on Xbox One. You need to be an Xbox Live Gold member to download these games for free.
On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Grow Up ($9.99) for free during the month of July. Runbow ($14.99) will be available as a free download from July 16th to August 15th.
On Xbox 360, starting July 1st, Kane & Lynch 2 ($14.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through July 15th. Then on July 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game ($19.99) for free through July 31st.
My take – what is interesting is that Runbow is making its Xbox debut as a free game. You can read my review of the Wii U version of Runbow HERE. More interesting is that Freerunners was the free Xbox One game last month – both Freerunners and Runbow are similar platforming games based around multiplayer. Having both these games become free in back-to-back months is an interesting choice.
