For the first time in about a decade, both The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC) and the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC) will be available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop (3DS) on May 30, 2013.
Both games will be available for a special sale price of $4.99 for a few weeks but will later increase to $5.99.
Each game is a unique journey that can be played separately. However, passcodes can be earned in one game and then entered into the other to unlock special content and to see the true ending. This feature was a little easier back on the original GBC hardware as this data could have been transferred via a link cable but since the 3DS lacks this hardware feature codes must be manually typed in.
Out of all the Zelda titles, these two GBC games are probably the least played. However, each title is a quality Zelda experience especially if you are a fan of Link’s Awakening. A bit of advice though, Seasons is a little easier than Ages so you might want to start with that game first.
