Majesco has just announced two new games that claim to boost your brain power: Brain Boost: Beta Wave and Brain Boost: Gamma Wave for the Nintendo DS. Both of these games are being developed by Dr. Makoto Shichida, a renowned researcher, author, and creator of the Right Brain Development Theory.

"Each Brain Boost game offers a completely different set of fun, yet challenging, brain training problems that are designed to enhance your mental acuity," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco Entertainment. "We believe a growing number of consumers are looking for more diversified game play experiences and the Brain Boost games will help attract a new audience to the category." [p] The goal of both games is to improve memory, concentration, and judgment via brain training games by using speed and accuracy. Brain Boost: Beta Wave will focus on stimulating the right brain, usually associated with active concentration and busy thinking. Beta Wave will include games that work with shape recognition, finding matches, addition problems, remembering sequence, and moving dots.

The brain’s gamma waves appear to work with higher mental activity including perception and problem solving. Brain Boost: Gamma Wave will include training for remembering circumstances, faces, images, numbers, and colors.

Developed by Interchannel-Holon Inc, both Brain Boost: Beta Wave and Brain Boost: Gamma Wave are scheduled to ship in November for a suggested retail price of $19.99. For more information, please visit www.majescoentertainment.com and stay with www.mygamer.com
