Majesco Entertainment announced today that they will be publishing Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Nintendo Wii. This Wii version is a follow up sequel to the Nintendo DS version. If you have not had a chance to experience Cook Mama on the DS, players will be able to download a demo via demo kiosks nationwide in November.

"Since its introduction last month, Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS has
won people over with its fun, addictive gameplay and innovative use of
the Touch Screen," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing. "Cooking
Mama: Cook Off for the Wii console similarly integrates the unique Wii
Remote while layering on new features — including multiplayer and a
full range of international cuisine — that fans are hungry for."

Like most Wii games, Cook Off will make special use of the Wii-mote. Players will mash, slice, chop, and stir food to create more than 300 real recipes. The game will even feature realistic graphics that lead with real-time cooking effects, bring authenticity to the title. Burnt toast has been looked so good.

A 2-player versus mode has been confirmed as well.

Cook Off is being developed by OfficeCreate and licensed through Taito and has a planned release date of early 2007. And remember, Majesco is also scheduled to bring us Bust-A-Move Bash! to our Wii’s.
