Nintendo just announced that Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will be available on Wii U starting November 20, 2015, the Friday before Thanksgiving and Black Friday. First announced at this year’s E3, Ultra Smash seems to follow the formula of previous Mario Tennis titles but with the addition of the super mushroom power-up that makes users really big. The game will retail for $49.99.
Unfortunately, it does not look like there will be online multiplayer and amiibo support. It has been confirmed that 4-player local play is featured with 1v1 and 2v2 matches. Unlike Wii Sports, players will take direct control of their character on the court.
With Star Fox 0 delayed until 2016 and Xenoblade Chronicles X scheduled for a December release, Nintendo fans will also be able to play Yoshi’s Woolly World and Super Mario Maker for this year’s initial holiday shopping season.
