Prison City (XSX) Review

Developed by Programancer and published by Retroware, Prison City is not only a modern, retro game done right, it hits a high mark for new old games. In short, it is awesome and a must play especially if you grew up in the NES era. Prison City is a side scrolling action game that combines the best of 8-bit classics. This retro wonder mixes the run-and-gun action of Contra, with the weapon system and presentation of Power Blade, while adding some slight Metroid level design. 3D Don’t Die Mr. Robot is a frantic arcade action game coming to consoles soon

Take the role of Mr. Robot who has been trapped in a highly dangerous and rather fruity dimension called the Neon Dunjun. For the first time, Japan exclusive Justice Ninja Casey is available in English and has been outfitted with welcomed, built-in cheats and gameplay options. A princess has been kidnapped by ninjas but Casey, a young mulleted ninja, takes it upon himself to rescue the damsel simply because he is the self-proclaimed Ninja of Justice. The humor aspect is definitely appreciated because almost nothing about this game is taken seriously.  Gameplay-wise, this forgotten Super Famicom title is heavily inspired by River City Ransom. It is ultimately a 2D brawler but transitions from screen to screen to generate the experience of traveling through one large, interconnected world. Along the way, beating up…
