According to an upcoming issue of Japan’s Weekly Famitsu, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be released in Japan on Tuesday, December 16. The release date of the highly anticipated sequel has changed many times, but now Konami seems to be sticking with the December release date overseas.
This may be good for us North Americans. Marketers may feel it is a good idea to get the game out well before the holidays in order to maximize their profits. Only time will tell if this reasoning is correct.
However, Konami has also created a premium package for the title in Japan as well. The hardcore MGS fans may want to hold off on their purchase of the American version for the special editions.
A lot of information is still shrouded in mystery about the state of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and the staff here at MyGamer is just as eager as you are to unravel these mysteries.
We will have more on this as it is revealed.
