Take to the Skies With Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (Preview)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 preview | MyGamer

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to revitalize the widely esteemed simulation franchise. Taking advantage of the latest technologies and harnessing the true power of cutting-edge hardware, the upcoming title will carry the series into the modern world of simulation gaming.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Will Finally Allow us to Step Out of the Planes

When you literally have the whole planet to explore, you would think that the MSFS franchise had already reached its potential but this time around the boys and girls at Asobo Studio have found a way to greatly improve on the franchise’s last installment. As a result, this time around we will be treated to the ability to step out of our chosen aircrafts, stretch our digital legs and enjoy the scenery while embarking on a whole manner of aviation-themed tasks and missions.

Not only will you be able roam the skies and partake in a little sightseeing, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will blow the game wide open as it allows you to step into the shoes or real-world aviators. Help tackle bush fires with a little aerial firefighting; set up a skydiving school and take thrill-seekers to the skies; embark on dogfighting missions with fighter jets; help fix electrical pylons; spray crops with agricultural aircraft and more.

This new feature will change the way we play MSFS. With so much more to do, we will no longer be limited to the confines of our stuffy cockpits and free to branch out to try our hands at this eclectic range of these aviatory antics.

The New Feature Will Give Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Some Much-Needed Purpose

While the 2020 gave us unparalleled freedom of the skies, there has never been any purpose to the game beyond flying from A to B. Yes, it’s likely that this provided many people – myself included – with many hours of deep simulation, but it also became tedious and quite quickly so. After take-off, there was very little to do beyond making minute changes to your plane’s direction and/or trajectory until it came to the all-important landing stages.

This new approach will still offer the world on a plate but also allow you to escape the often meaningless air hours with missions that are set to take you through stunning scenery as you play to complete objectives. It’s also nice to see that the various missions offer such a broad range of variety to further break the game down, while giving you the freedom to chose your missions according the the style-of-play you are looking for at the time.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Will Feature an Improved Flight Planner

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2 will feature an overhauled flight planning system that will allow you to take your game from your console or PC and use the mobile versatility of web browsers. Here you will be able to plan your journeys to minute detail with details pertaining to live air traffic, weather condition reporting and real-time information about airports. The real beauty behind this, however, is the fact that it will allow you to plan your flights while on-the-go. Whether you’re on the porcelain throne, in a meeting at work, or squashed in like a sardine on the subway, you will have complete control of your routes and be able to plan ahead straight from your cellphone.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – Summary

With it’s new lease of life, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will work wonders to draw in new crowds without alienating those life-long diehards that live and breathe the MSFS franchise. Available from day one on Xbox Game Pass, the title will be out on the Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC in Novemeber 2024.
