Microsoft Corp. has added football content to its MSN Direct sports channel for Smart Watches, according to a press release issued by the company today. Newly added features include scores, standings, stats, and game information for the upcoming 2004-2005 season.

“Football fans go to extreme lengths to fllow the games, and now our customers will only have to look at their wrists. We’re excited to deliver more new content and features to Smart Watches with this new release of MSN Direct,” said Eric Lang, general manager of the Smart Personal Objects Technology (SPOT) initiative at Microsoft. “People are on the go and need to easily access information that is important to them, whether that’s getting a message from home, checking a sports score, or seeing what the weather is like.

Microsoft also announced that as part of the expansion, customers can now look to download watch faces directly from the company’s [a]http://www.msndirect.com[aa]website,[/a]
