Today, Nintendo finally released details about their next system. Originally codenamed the NX, the Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console/handheld that let’s you take your games on the go with a breakaway controller. This trailer also depicted Skyrim and a new Mario game running on this Switch hardware. Other than a March 2017 release window, we were not given any specs or price of the system.
While it is great to finally see some details, we now have many questions. Will the system ship with one controller, and how much will second controllers be? Will Wii/Wii U games, controllers and accessories work with this system? How much storage space will the console have? Are the controller halves really that small? There is no d-pad? What games will be available at launch? What are the system specs? Will Skyrim support mods? Will their be an uniform XBL/PSN type interface with Achievements and online matchmaking? How many controllers can be synced to the Switch at one time? Were those cartridges? Will we need memory cards?
So what do you think about the Switch? Will you pick one up at launch? Did you cancel or Breath of the Wind Wii U pre-order to make way for Switch? Let us know in the comments below.
