McDonald’s has partnered with the Pokemon Company to release a batch of Pokemon toys to McDonald’s Happy Meals starting in November 2015. This special promotion is scheduled to run from November 27 through December 23.
There will be a total of eight Pokemon toys to collect from buying Happy Meals. Pikachu, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Rayquaza, Lugia, Wobbuffet, Latios, and Hoopa will be bundled with one of 12 Pokemon Trading Cards. Pretty cool to get both a toys and a card.
Also, if Pokemon X/Y or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire is connected to the McDonalds hotspot via the Nintendo Zone with a 3DS/2DS, the Hoopa Pokemon can be downloaded into your game. Hoopa also comes with the item needs to evolve to its more powerful form as well. See the trailer below.
Expect to see TV commercials and other sorts of advertising for this unique Nintendo/McDonald’s crossover. Nintendo most recently joined with McDonald’s to release Mario Kart 8 toys to support the launch of this Wii U racer.
