Just in time for Halloween, Konami will be updating Silent Hill: Downpour, originally released in March.
The online patch, available via XBOX Live, enhances the gameplay experience by improving features and bugs within the game, including, but not limited to:
o Improved frame rate
o Fixed save game system
o Fixed bugs in “Homeless” side quest/mission
o Several other performance enhancements/bug fixes
A PlayStation 3 patch is currently in development and will be released in the coming weeks.
KONAMI also announced today that Silent Hill: Downpour is going to be available for download, via XBOX Live Games on Demand, beginning on October 30 for $39.99.
Also, Konami announced that while a PlayStation 3 online title update for Silent Hill HD Collection has been deployed for download via PlayStation Network, plans for an XBOX360 title update have been cancelled due to technical issues and resources.
Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, KONAMI issued a title update for Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3), which fixed frame rate issues as well as audio-synching and other reported issues. Konami apologizes to any players who are continuing to experience these issues on the XBOX 360.
