City Interactive announced that its premier sniper game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior, has gone platinum with more than 700,000 units sold for the Xbox 360. The impressive milestone comes in just a few short months before the launch of its sequel, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.
Marshall Zwicker, City Interactive’s EVP Sales & Marketing for North America said: “We are pleased by the success of Sniper: Ghost Warrior as it exemplifies our commitment to creating the premier sniper gaming experience. With close to 3 million copies of the game sold worldwide across all platforms, the franchise is the benchmark for sniper games and we hope to establish a new standard with its successor, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2.”
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the only multi-platform first-person, modern shooter exclusively designed around the sniper experience, and thanks to the advanced capabilities of the CryENGINE3, it delivers graphically stunning environments, more diverse sniper challenges, a rebuilt AI system and the “one shot; one kill” precision that made the original a worldwide hit. With unprecedented levels of realism in weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 offers the ultimate experience for sniper fans.
