There were winners in 24 categories last night during the live telecast of Spike TV’s annual Video Game Awards Show. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was one of the more highlighted games of the night, raking in four “Vector Monkey” trophies. The event, hosted by Snoop Dogg, also featured live performances from acts such as Snoop himself, Pharrell, Busta Rhymes, Motley Crue, and Sum 41.
Winners of the show were determined by votes from Spike TV’s own advisory board, consisting of gaming industry experts and consumer voting. The show also gave exclusive previews to some of the more anticipated games of 2005, such as The Godfather by EA and Fear and Respect by Midway.
If you happened to miss the show, an encore broadcast will be aired throughout the day this Saturday, December 18 (2:00-4:00 pm, eastern/pacific 1:00-3:00 am, eastern pacific).
