TANK you very much
Tanks are the epitome of strength, durability, and firepower known throughout the world and zombies are well known for being a wave of unstoppable masses hungry for your flesh. Titan Forged Games tries to find out what happens when the immovable object meets the unstoppable force. You play as a single tank against several hordes of zombies in this new casual action arcade style shooter.

I began in arcade mode since I wanted to see if it would be easy to control, and while absolute basics were easy enough to grasp, it was much harder to see what was more effective. Being a twin stick shooter, you have to move with one stick, and control the aiming with the other, which really makes it come alive when you are constantly running for your life and circle strafing the oncoming corpses. You start off very weak, so the beginning weapons are really not effective at all, and it can seem like you aren’t making progress, or doing damage. Its not until you get the mower in front that it feels like a real game and you start literally mowing everything down in sight. The game becomes much more about movement then it does your arsenal which might be antithetical to the whole genre. For a game with so much to say about its arsenal, I found it very ineffective and that just choosing the mower was much more fun. Even when you do have a supposedly cool like weapon like the flamethrower, while the zombies do have health bars, they can be immune to certain types of firepower without that being very clear.
While the weapon disadvantages may not be clear, I have to give credit to the incredibly variety of enemies on each level. There are many different kinds with different abilities, like having a shield, throwing bombs, being aggressive and fast, or lighting you on fire and running away. It makes for an exciting change of pace with each wave, and especially with each level change. I just wish the same could be said for the weapon arsenal. The guns always seem to be weak, or run out of ammo too fast, or just don’t do what the title says like the homing rockets that never homed in on anything I ever attacked.
I love the return to local or “couch” coop, as it harkens back to the days when people would play together in the same room, and it’s just more fun that way. The campaign can also be played with a friend, but is also pretty fun being alone due to the humor that’s littered everywhere. Even the different setting for each level is pretty fun and different, like going from a graveyard to a beach, both just teeming with zombies. The music was a bit lame and repetitive so I do wish more thought was put into the ambiance to go with the nice scene change. Overall, I like this game, but it’s not gonna blow you away on any real level, but it’s fun and cheap, and can be hectic. I would suggest to play this during a party or with friends as it would add a lot to your enjoyment.
