Bungie parted with Microsoft in stunning fashion not too long ago. Their first work since actually pulling away from Microsoft? An expansion pack for Halo 3, in Halo 3: Recon.
So much for Nintendo exclusivity and teaming up with Apple and all those other ludicrous theories, huh?
The news, which was supposed to be announced at E3 2008 (which got hushed last-minute) was finally fleshed out. The story won't address the Master Chief, and the playable characters aren't even Spartans…so you can basically expect a nice, new story. New multiplayer statements were in short supply, outside the detailed four-player campaign mode.
