MyGamer received word from 2K Games that it's current development project, titled The Darkness, will receive a starring role prior to it's release. The Darkness, which is being developed by Starbreeze Studios that previously made The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and contains the story of young Mafia hitman Jackie Estacado who becomes the recipient of a power known as The Darkness on his 21st birthday and must now learn to try and control his powers while taking on the crime family he once served. According to 2K it will be making an appearance in PLAY! A Video Game Symphony during it's Hartford and Stockholm performances. PLAY!, by the way, is a group of multitudinous orchestras and choirs that set about providing we gamers with music from various videos games in a classical score in high end musical performances. While the song is being played large video screens situated above the orchestra displays scenes from the games which acts as a visual accessory to the music carried out beneath. The dates for the particular concert which will feature The Darkness will be in Hartford, Connecticut on March 29th and, in Stockholm, in June 2007.
