Upcoming Games this March: A Look into what’s in Store for Next Month

Upcoming Games, March, 2024 | MyGamer

With February having brought some interesting titles, such as the long-awaited Skull & Bones; the remastered Tomb Raider original trilogy and the second part of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, I take a look at what’s around the corner for next month’s gaming.

WWE 2K24

2K Games picked up the reigns for the wrestling franchise in 2013, with WWE 2K14 being the first title to fall in under the 2K Sports banner. For the last decade, we have been treated to well-crafted wrestling games that only improve with every passing title.

WWE 2K24 won’t be one to break this tradition, either. This March we will be treated to a brand spanking new title, packed with new WWE icons and revitalizing some of the classic modes. Ambulance, Gauntlet, Guest Referee and Casket matches. Furthermore, the franchise staple “Showcase Mode” will feature new icons such as Cody Rhodes; The Rock; Hulk Hogan; Roman Reigns; Bianca Belair; “Macho Man” Rhea Ripley and the notorious Eddie Guerrero, as you relive their most iconic matches.

The upcoming WWE title will also feature two fresh character campaigns to embark on using your own created wrestlers. WWE 2K24 will be body-slammed into the ring on March 20 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Alone in the Dark

It was way back in 1992 that the future of horror survival video games was defined, through a collaborative effort between Atari SA, Kung Fu Factory, and Krisalis Software. Fast forward a whopping 32 years and we see the Swedish studio, Pieces Interactive, is poised and ready to once again revive the franchise for the first time since the 2015 instalment.

Transported into the 1920s, Alone in the Dark will offer players the choice to step into the shoes of original protagonists, Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood. Described as a blend of “Southern gothic” and psychological horror, the series is promising to set the proverbial ball rolling in style.

While Pieces Interactive remains secretive about the storyline, the trailer hints at the continuation of the franchises tried and tested formula that we all know and love. Expect though-provoking puzzles, the distinctive Alone in the Dark combat system and a vast array of eerie events and nightmarish monsters.

Scheduled for release on March 20, 2024, Alone in the Dark will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

South Park – Snow Day

South Park has been bringing laughter to the world since 1997 and still stays true to its original brand of childish – yet hilarious – humor and this carried over into the video game iterations; The Fractured but Whole and The Stick of Truth, giving them a real comedic edge and earning South Park – Snow Day a spot on my list.

After a blizzard wrecks chaos on the small town; Eric, Stan, Kyle and Kenny are rejoicing in the temporary closure of the school that they have somehow been attending for the last 27 years. Having a penchant for havoc, the kids decide to celebrate by means of battle and take to the streets for head-to-head combat.

South Park – Snow Day will be jam-packed with a medley of humorous weaponry and upgrades, including “chin balls” and “Cheesy Poof” clothing. Get wrapped up and prepare for battle on March 26. South Park – Snow Day will be available on PC and the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Summary

It seems that March is going to bring with it some interesting looking titles, with the above games being my picks from a promising selection. What games are you most looking forward to this March? Let us know in the comments.
