For the first time, Xbox One is now included in Microsoft’s Games for Gold program. In summary, if you are an Xbox Live Gold member, free digital stuff is coming your way.
Xbox One will be offering the twin stick overhead shooter Halo: Spartan Assault and Max The Curse of Brotherhood, a sequel to Max and the Magic Marker, throughout the month of June 2014.
Xbox 360 owners will be receiving 3 titles instead of the usual 2 games to celebrate the 1st year anniversary of the Games for Gold program. Starting June 1, Gold members can download Dark Souls (normally $19.99) for free. Then starting on June 16, the XBLA multiplayer brawler Charlie Murder (normally $9.99) and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (normally $29.99) will be available as a free download.
You can’t really beat free and another chance to build your Gamerscore. Let’s hope Halo Spartan Assault, the Xbox 360 version, becomes free next month.
