Zapper is a Frogger clone type game, jump, jump, jump your way through various inspired levels and rescue the respective critter in distress. Personally, I am not a major in this type of game because there is no action and too simple.
Graphics
Well, I have to say the visual is consider pretty good when compare to the simple concept of the game. Colors are vivid, cartoony characters and satisfactory lighting effects. The character animations and models themselves are all up to average and they’re a bit generic in design. Zapper surrounding levels seems like A bug?fs Life surrounding so I think this game is more suited for the younger crowd.
Sound
Nothing much exciting with sounds. Since this is a simple game, so it also equipped with simple sound effects and music. Music is an embarrassment to mention because it loops every 30 seconds and after a while, you won?ft even notice the music exists anymore.
Gameplay
Just like the old Frogger style game, top-down view for a clean view of the boring hopping action. Gameplay is laid out in a grid and players will tap, tap, tap their control sticks to move Zapper forward, back, left, or right. With each tap of the stick, he’ll move to the next square. With a jump button, he will skip a square. The control scheme takes some time to get use to, as you often need to rotate Zapper 90-degrees at a time before moving him, thus leaving you with little time for such actions as getting the hell out of the enemy’s way once you get him pointed in the right direction.
In short, it is a boring game because I can?ft see any fun factor in this game. Hopping through linear 3D environments, mildly decorated, dashing out of harms way, and collecting eggs for an hour is not fun. A typical gamer would have packed up everything back to the box and go back to the store for an exchange already. I would not recommend this game to anyone unless I hate that person.
