Club Nintendo 2013 Elite Status Gift Announcement

Club Nintendo 2013 Gifts

Nintendo has unveiled the official rewards to Gold and Platinum Club Nintendo members to close out 2013.  Members have until August 15th 2013 to log in and select a gift of choice.  Digital game downloads will generate a download code for immediate redemption while mailed gifts should arrive sometime before the end of the calendar year.

Just after logging into your account, you should see a pop-up telling you to select your gift.

Platinum Gifts:

Three-Poster Set: one Wind Waker (22” x 28”), one retro 8-bit Luigi celebrating the Year of Luigi (22” x 28”), one Pikmin 3 (25” x 12.8”). All three posters are shipped together in a poster tube

Majora’s Mask Original Soundtrack: this is a re-released CD that was originally available for players who pre-ordered the N64 title.  This collection features the entire soundtrack of Majora’s Mask and most of the songs were written by Koji Kondo.

Platinum or Gold Gifts:

2014 Club Nintendo Calendar: This is a desk calendar that features artwork from popular Nintendo titles.  This calendar is exclusive to Club Nintendo and was offered to Elite players in previous years.  The built-in display stand provides a nice presentation. The artwork display on each month’s card has not yet been confirmed.

Super Smash Bros. Wii Virtual Console download: The N64 original is offered free to either Platinum or Gold members.  Note, download codes are for Wii only, not Wii U.

WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase WiiWare download: This WiiWare title offers a mishmash of Wario’s out-of-control microgames and even allows players to link up with the DS version of WarioWare: D.I.Y.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX 3DS download:  This title was originally re-released on Gameboy Color outfitted with an updated color pallet and new color-based dungeon.  A download can be obtained for play on 3DS via the 3DS eShop.

Super Mario Land 3DS download: The original Gameboy’s flagship Mario title is available as a 3DS eShop download.

Sakura Samurai – Art of the Sword 3DS download:  This eShop original relies on precision swordplay and finesse as opposed to mindless button mashing.  Outside of WarioWare D.I.Y., this is the only non-Virtual Console title available for this year’s Club Nintendo program.

So gamers, what do you think?  Are you happy with these gift options?  Which one will you pick?  Did you even register enough games to yield a Club Nintendo gift this year?  Let us know in the comments below.
