What would a Wii sequel to the original Duck Hunt be without a light gun? Well, Nintendo thankfully delivers an exciting peripheral at E3.
The Light Gun Shell is just that, a shell. The Wii controller will slide in the front of the pistol shaped shell and act as the gun barrel. There is a trigger hole in the body of the shell – the trigger does not hang in front of the grip as on a real gun. The design is very smooth and simple.
One last feature adds a twist that may make this peripheral a "must have". On the top of the grip on the rear of the gun sits an analog stick. This theoretically could allow traditionally static Light Gun games – think: Time Crisis – to become fully controllable First Person Shooters. Being able to move freely through an environment and use a light gun could offer the next big step for FPS fans.
