I actually went on a buying spree on Ebay and bought a bunch or Dreamcast and Genesis games and consoles. I had to get them as they were sold in really cheap lots. They might be inferior to modern tech but there is still a lot of fun factor in the games.
It is illegal and it doesn't help the game companies as they lose money with every person that doesn't buy the game because of pirated copies of a game.
With that being said, it is bad for the industry to have pirated games. It's the reason why the Sega Dreamcast took a early death. Once they...
You do have a valid point. Not sure how much they spent on R&D, but Nintendo is making money off of their portable gaming division and not much on the console side of things.
What I think happened is that gamers grew up and the view on what is trending changes as well. Things need to evolve...
I always find myself going back to Age of Mythology games. It was released over 10 years ago, but I still find the fast paced action a way to escape real life. Sure there are a lot of updated games based off of the same engine and game play, but it's a taste of nostalgia. Even Star Wars...
I already have a PC. So I might as well get games for it and save the $400. Unless there is an exclusive that I have to get or I want to play over the net and against other gamers on the PS$ and XBOX.
I really don't see the point in spending the money and then in a few years having to...
I started playing video games at 6 years old. Back then it was the Atari 2600. Before the NES and SEGA. There was Atari and a slew of other companies that failed to make a splash. Atari made a big splash but also crashed the market with terrible games.
It was a really good game. It had some Hitman elements as I noticed most games do have nowadays. Story line was well done. Felt more like a cinematic experience then a video game. The ability to upgrade your armory was a nice touch. That and a slew of different bad guys including regular...
I would actually pick up where you left off. You said you played Metal Gear Solid. Why don't you play all of the sequels until you get to the current release? I wish I had done that. That way you can get caught up slowly.
So Nintendo is going to try again to compete in the home console wars and come out with another home system. I personally think its a waste of time.
My question to you guys are, what do you think the big N has to do to compete with the likes of Sony and Microsoft? I doubt Nintendo will make...
To be honest I think Nintendo should throw in the towel in home consoles and stick to the portable gaming market. They have a future in portable gaming and cannot compete against Sony and Microsoft. Cute characters and mascot won't save them this time. Those fans are in their 40s now.
Parents should pay more attention to the ratings. I played Red Dead Redemption and close to the end they actually had a sex scene with nudity. That is something kids should be seeing.
There's nothing wrong with being an older gamer. Like anything else we do for entertainment, there's no age limit that would forbid us in doing it. If I had more time on my hands, I would be playing it more.
I actually like the real Walking Dead TV series so I was biased when I got a copy of the Walking Dead Season @ for the PS3. To be honest, I liked it because i was a fan of the show. But there was no real game play. It was just choosing the right path at key moments of the story line. Would I...
Since we don't know what you are working with and your questioning your graphics card, I'll just suggest this. Any game that is graphic intensive, just turn the graphics setting to the lowest possible. That's how I get around playing the most recent games. Turn it all the way down and enjoy...
I actually wouldn't mind seeing a collection disc of HD versions of previous Call of Duty games. A compilation disc. I think it would sell and attract the older gamers that haven't moved to the newer consoles.
I think so. Being outdoors and interacting with other humans should be a daily routine. Now a days its video games first, and home work is thrown to the side, and no human interaction what so ever.
Let's see now, what were the good old favorites? Monopoly, Scrabble, and maybe a Connect Four. But the most addicting game out there right now, for me anyways, would be Jenga.
I'm thinking of trying out emulation for the original playstation. I loved the hot shots golf series that came out awhile ago. I've been jonesing for a good golf game and the miniature golf side game is very addicting.
