Have you tried DiRT Showdown?

I got DiRT Showdown on a bundle and it is addictive! I've completed the Tour and the Battersea Joyride missions and I'm currently doing the Yokohama Joyride. The game is pretty good, has great graphics, is enjoyable, and pretty optimized. Have you played this game? If not, I suggest you to get it, at least on a sale.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I know a couple of people who are really into this game. I've only played a handful of racers in my day and I think I'm long overdue for another one

It's one of the highest rated games on Steam with a fairly active multiplayer (as far as older racing games go), definitely recommended for people looking for a decent racer.
