Question of the Day

Question of the Day:

What's your favorite part of the holiday season?

My favorite thing is the Christmas cookies. So very very yummy.

haha, good one Mav. I like how it's the one time of the year that nearly all of my family stops the pettiness, self-absorbtion, and grudges and comes together like a family should: meaning we feast, play games, and listen to the older generation tell stories that are mostly BS.

Question of the Day:

Who is your favorite poet?

Mine is Ovid - The Metamorphoses are the best!

All the poems in Calvin and Hobbes are pretty good. There are several recognizable poets or lyricists that I could mention, so I will throw in one a little more out of left field.

Tim Jenson. He has written the majority of the lyrics for Yoko Kanno's music for animes such as Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. It is really cool how his lyrics relate to the characters and events from the shows. "Call me, call me" from the Hard Luck Woman episode of Cowboy Bebop is probably my favorite. I have used a quote or two from that song as my sig.

Question of the Day:

Which national chain, do you think, makes the best pizza?

I'd have to say Papa John's for pizza, but Domino's for breadsticks.

Most of our national pizza chains are also in Canada, so I'm sure you can comment. I didn't mean to exclude you.

Papa John's isn't.

I don't like Domino's, I always find the pizza too dry. I've not sampled enough of Little Caesar's to have an opinion.

I guess I like Pizza Hut, mostly because it has the best crust of those I've tried.

I'm not a fan of Papa John's because they redline their deliveries. Consequently, there aren't any stores near me.

Domino's is okay for a quick fix, but their pizzas are manufactured. In fact, every pizza I've had at a chain tastes manufactured. In the time it takes to call and get something delivered/picked up, I find it's cheaper to just get some dough and make a freakin' pizza. The results are always better, too.
