Things That Suck

Winter. Winter sucks. A lot. The days are short, the wind chaps your skin (my knuckles are bleeding even though I moisterize at least twice a day!). The snow makes your commute about 50% longer than it should be. People freeze to death on the streets at night. Everything costs more. You're tired and depressed from lack of sunlight. Illnesses are rampant, as is commercialism. I hate winter.

Another thing that sucks about living five minutes from work (I am 1 mile away), is snow days. I have absolutely NO excuse if the roads are covered in snow and ice. Everyone else can stay in and say "I can't get there", but not me. I'll end up being one of two people there. And it's supposed to snow tomorrow. :bowser:

well trust me it sucks worse risking your life to drive to work. but ya i feel ya. i finally have enough PTO at a job where if i want to take off for snow, i actually can. it is comforting.

You know there are things you can wear over your eyes to block out light.

There are also things you put in the windows to block out light.

At the worst, buy some black fabric and brad nails.

I sleep with a sleep mask - I have black shades and curtains. It still isn't enough.

My brother has a basement apartment. His room has no windows, but he still drops a towel at the base of the door to block out the tiny bit of light that reaches his door. (He works second shift).
