Unrelated note: Exactly how do we earn points. I see we get them by posting, but I seem to be accumulating points over the day when I have done no posting.

i'll look into your other questions but -- i did change the thief function
the success rate was quite low. i won't say how low as the fun is in the mystery - but i did raise it a fair amount. i also disabled the function which made all staff invulnerable.
