The budget friendly Wii Mini console will be launching sometime this month at US retail. This red and black console will include one Wii remote, one nunchuk and a copy of Mario Kart Wii all for $99. No word yet if the Mario Kart plastic wheel accessory will be included.
However, this budget console lacks online capabilities and backwards compatibility with Gamecube software and hardware. This is rather strange because one of the highlighting features of Mario Kart Wii is having the ability to play online against racers around the world and being able to use a Wavebird instead of the motion control of the Wii remote.
