R.B.I. Baseball ’14 Opening Day on XBLA is April 9 2014

Developed by MLB Advanced Media, a reboot of the fan favorite series was first announced back in January 2014 for iOS, Android, current, and last-gen systems.

Originally released on NES back in 1988, RBI was the first baseball game to support an official MLB license.  Many sequels were made, the last of which was RBI ’95 for the Sega 32X.

It is worth noting that this is MLB Advanced Media’s first console game and they have not released any details about this upcoming reboot other than a “it is coming” tweet.  Guess we will have to wait until April 9th to learn more.

In the meantime, check out our original review of the game.
