Rollercoaster Tycoon goes Microsoft

By Hang Lauv

Atari has announced that their latest installment of their RollerCoaster Tycoon series, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, will include a full version of Microsoft Photo Story. Gamers will be able to use the new photo features as a new addition to the game. While building your one-of-a-kind rollercoaster park, you can place cameras in front of the rides like real amusement parks and designate areas known as “Photo Spots” where your guests will pose for the camera.

“A key component of the RollerCoaster Tycoon series has always been sharing your park, experience with friends,” said Nancy MacIntyre, Vide President of Marketing for Atari, Inc. “RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 takes that to the next level by allowing players to share not only their roller coasters but also fireworks, Photo Stories and movies with the ease and accessibility offered by Windows XP and Photo Story.”

Microsoft Photo Story will allow users to create their own customized slide shows. Several features such as narration, special effects, and music can be added to the slide show and saved as a Windows Media File.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is set for a US launch of November 2 and November 5 for the rest of the world for the PC.
