Sony is seeking out experienced software developers to assist on the development on a few critical apps for the upcoming PlayStation Portable, namely the network programs and system software.
Coders hired to work on the system software will be working with PSP development kits, while network programmers will deal with software associated with the handheld’s variosu networking abilities.
SCE’s ad made a special note that applicants with a TOEIC (Test of English for International Communications) score of 700+ will be given top priority for the jobs. This reporter speculates that the reason for this would probably be because Sony expects its programmers to work on menu/manual English translations.
