Tetris Forever game list revealed

Digital Eclipse revealed details regarding their next Gold Master Series – Tetris Forever. Oddly, the original Gameboy version of Tetris seems to be omitted.

Quoted below:

The latest in our Gold Master Series of interactive documentary games, Tetris® Forever will tell the amazing true story of one of the most legendary games of all time, alongside over 15 different playable games from 40 years of Tetris history.

We can’t wait to share Tetris Forever with you later this year in 2024. Today, we released a new trailer focused on some of the classic games you’ll be playing. Check it out!

Did you get all that? If not, here’s a list of some of the included games…

  • Tetris, released by Spectrum Holobyte in 1988 on the Apple II
  • Tetris, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1988 on the Famicom
  • Hatris, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1990 on the Famicom
  • Tetris 2 + Bombliss, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1990 on the Famicom
  • Hatris, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1991 on the Game Boy

  • Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss Genteiban, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1993 on the Super Famicom
  • Super Tetris 3, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1994 on the Super Famicom, which includes the variants Sparkliss, Magicaliss, and Familiss
  • Super Bombliss, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1995 on the Super Famicom
  • Super Bombliss, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1995 on the Game Boy and originally released in the U.S. as Tetris Blast
  • Super Bombliss DX, released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1998 on the Game Boy Color

In addition to these classics, we’ve got a painstakingly recreated version of the very first Tetris — the one that Alexey Pajitnov himself developed for a Soviet computer called the Electronika 60 back in 1984.

And of course, there’s our brand-new Tetris variant, Tetris Time Warp, which itself has several different game modes in both single and multiplayer.

We’ll be sharing a lot more about Tetris Time Warp soon, and we’ll also be revealing Tetris Forever’s release date and more — and all you have to do to find out is stay tuned to the Digital Eclipse newsletter! See you later, and as always, thanks for all your support.
