Xbox Live and Xbox.com will not be available to the public this Monday, October 24th. Both services will be undergoing maintenance for about 24 hours in preparation for their new look and functions. When Xbox Live and Xbox.com are back up and running (which should be Tuesday, October 25th) they will be ready to support Xbox 360 functionality. When Xbox.com comes back online it will be mainly based on the 360. About a week after the 360 release (November 22nd) Xbox.com will unveil My Xbox. My Xbox will integrate Xbox 360, Xbox.com, and Xbox Live.
If 360 owners sign on to Xbox.com with a linked gamertag, they will be able to see their gamer cards. A gamer card is a list of your accomplishments, likes, dislikes, and other general information. You can also view other people?s cards and compare them to your own. Gamer cards can also be used as an avatar in MSN Space and Xbox.com forums. You will still be able to check if your friends are online, see if they?re on their 360, what they?re playing, what mode they?re in, and send invitations to them.
